Antony's Retirement Projects

Antony likes micro cruiser and he likes John Welsford's designs. His latest creation is a is a John Welsford 'Fafnir' with modifications and adapted for a junk rig. The last micro cruiser he built was a Tardis it the Fafnir is bigger inside than out, with all running lines and tiller operated from below deck - out of the weather. She does not have a sparkling performance but is very comfortable. Antony likes the junk rig as it is ideal for solo sailing with simple reefing. Antony modified the design at the bow to enable him to add in a seperrate anchor well and I think it give his micro cruiser.

Antony has taken care to make sure all joints are spot on as he is building it for his son who is a carpenter. 2The ply clinker skiff is Antony's latest creation. The Selway Fisher "Stornaway 12" design was selected due to its shape and handsome likes for estuary fishing.
